The Controlled Cybernaught Republic is the government of the Cybernaughts, centered on the ruined city-planet U-N1N. They have a rigidly defined caste structure, but since the race never reproduces, citizens, or "units", may be reassigned at any time. The bulk of their military and work force is made up of machines, and most living Cybernaughts are either elite soldiers or units. Units are expected to be on call to perform any miscellaneous task that cannot be performed by a robot for whatever reason. They have virtually eliminated all biological needs except the nutrient injections given bienially. The CCR was the first state to develop the Nanobot-based OmniVac, and, seizing on the pofit opprotunity, quickly distributed it throughout the galaxy. All charges for the OmniVac have at least some percentage that finds its way back to the CCR - despite the fact that it was technically an independant scientist who developed it. The CCR is also at the forefront of nearly all technological development, and has officially declared itself completely neutral. The one type of technology it has virtually no mastery of is psionics-based technology; Cybernaughts have effectively cut themselves off from psionic capability of any kind.
